LRSC

In an attempt to allow former LRSC swimmers to keep in touch, I offer this web page with the hope that others will submit a picture and/or some details about their current situation and location. Please pass the word to others that you might know and encourage them to send a picture, address, email address and any other details that they would like to share.

The Masters Nationals were held in Cleveland this week, results are at: http://www.usms.org/comp/lcnats02/results/

On August 17th, 2002 the following members met at Lakewood Park to see each other and catch up on old times. Can you name these former swimmers? (Actually. Two are current swimmers who were never on LRSC). My apologies to those I missed photographing. I have added more pictures and comments as they are received.

Please send pictures and bios to dabineri@fuse.net and we'll add to this page. We'd love to see you and know what you are doing these days.

Took a small team to the Solon Meet and found Renee Kelley (Cammarato) and Sue Fitch. I also saw Mary Davern, Phil Geiger and Gayle Gordillo but stupidly did not always have my camera with me.

Carl Maldonado, somewhere in Iraq.

Tom and I met up at a Masters swim meet at Miami University on 2/9/08 after about 30 years!

Swimming has been a central part of Steve Vick's life ever since he  began competitive swimming at the age of five in Lakewood, Ohio. His competitive career led to a scholarship at Ashland College in Akron, Ohio (NCAA Div. II), where he swam the individual medley, butterfly and freestlye.

Steve has been an Alaska resident for over six years, originally coming up for a position as a Backcountry Ranger in Denali National Park. He spent a winter mushing dogs in Healy and since then has aquired 6 dogs of his own. He now lives in Haines Alaska -moving there in August 2004 when he became the head swim coach of the local swim team.

Steve has been training for The Lynn Swim by swimming six days a week. He also bicycles for cross-training purposes.
