Assistance for VISTA Users 

For Easy MEET Manager and Easy TEAM Manager both track and swimming

Microsoft’s VISTA operating system has some quirks in it that cause issues with many software packages including EasyWare.  Please take the steps below in order to insure that your EasyWare product runs correctly under VISTA.

 All files that need to be downloaded are on the www.goeasyware.com web site on the UPGRADES page and are at the bottom of this page for both swimming and track. 

1.   Download and run (to run, just double-click the downloaded file) the file called Windows6.0-KB917607-x86.msu.  This will enable you to use the HELP choice within your EasyWare  program. Link is Below.

 2.   Download and run (to run, just double-click the downloaded file) the file called EMVistaFix.bat.  This will insure that a complete installation has taken place. Link is Below.

 3.   Finally, go to your Windows desktop and follow these steps: 

A.  Click the START button (Windows Flag in lower left of screen)

B.   Click the user picture to access your account information

C.  Go to the last item on the list which is Turn User Account Control on/off and choose to turn it OFF and this may require that you restart your computer.  This action will allow you to apply the EasyWare upgrades automatically without an error.

 When you start up each program you should be on the latest version as shown on the maintenance upgrade page on the web site.  Future upgrades should work fine by just starting the EasyWare programs WHILE ONLINE since that is when it automatically checks to see if new upgrades are available.
