Coaches and Parents, Thanks for all your help this year in assisting to make these rankings possible for the swimmers.  We hope that next year we will improve what is done here by having more clarity on the consistency of team names and swimmer names to avoid unnecessary duplication.  We will also supply teams with a meet template that has the cut times already entered for your ease of use.

Current Rankings are now available based on meet results that have been submitted to dabineri@fuse.net.

Please notify dabineri@fuse.net if there are errors on these reports.

Reports will be updated as meets are received (within 24hours of receipt of the meet backup when possible).

Sending the MEET BACKUP gives us ALL the teams in the meet.

 If you have sent a meet backup and it is not listed here, please re-send if you would.

directions at the top of that sheet.  Only submit those making at least CONSIDERATION TIMES.

If you are sending a meet containing results from BOTH 3A and 4A schools, please help out by identifying which is which in your email.  This will help a great deal.  If it is one division or the other, please identify in the subject line of the email if you would.  THANKS!

To submit your meets, please just use Easy Meet Manager and choose  BACKUP CURRENT MEET on the Main Screen and watch what you call it and where you save it then attach it to an email to David Abineri at dabineri@fuse.net

Alternatively, if you are using other software, also send a COMPLETE MEET BACKUP.

SC High School Coaches:

Here are a few reminders and information that I hope will be useful to you this season.

First, Attached are the official conversion factors (HS FEDERATION) for use between meters and yards for this season along with the state qualifying times in both meters and yards.  This season we will NOT distinguish between manual and automatic times as has been done in the past (a 0.1 sec adjustment). All times will be recorded exactly as they were swum.  All conversions will take place inside Easy TEAM Manager using the HS Federation factors for the purpose of creating meet entries and rankings etc.

Second, some improvements in EASY TEAM MANAGER specifically motivated by SCHSL.  Easy TEAM Manager now has built in time conversions so that you will NO LONGER CONVERT ANY TIMES as you import and export from and to Easy TEAM Manager.  All times in East TEAM MANAGER (ETM) will be recorded as they were swum.  When you add a new meet you will specify that it is a METER pool or a YARD pool and when you import the times they will be YARD times if it was a YARD pool and METER times if a meter pool.

Built in to the latest version of ETM (version 1.0432 and later, available on 8/13/09) are several sets of conversion factors. So, after you upgrade on 8/13/09 you will got to FILE, CONVERSION FACTORS and choose HS FEDERATION conversions which is what SC will use this season.  You only need to do this ONCE and they will be the active conversion factors for all your work this season.

So, in ETM you will have BOTH meter and yard times depending on the meets you have attended.  Here is how the conversion process works using TOP TIMES as an example.  If you go to PRINT, TOP TIMES and choose YARD pools then the list you get will be all the YARD times achieved by your swimmers. HOWEVER, if you click CONVERT  TO THIS COURSE and print your top times, you will get a single listing of all the swimmers' best times that will have been chosen from the best of the yard times and the best of the converted meter times. The conversions will have been done by the HS FEDERATION conversions that you have chosen above.  The same options are available on most of the reports you generate.  So you may print just meter times, just yard times, all times converted to yards or all times converted to meters as you wish.

Also note in ETM, when you add a meet there is a check box that says INCLUDE CONVERTED TIMES FOR MEET ENTRIES. If this box is checked then when you enter a meet BY TIME, ETM will pick the season best of the converted or unconverted times for the course specified for the meet guaranteeing  that the best time is used for seeding purposes.

The TEAM NAME and INITIALS that will show up on your meet entries and the RANKINGS is obtained from the ETM SETUP SCREEN.  Please use FILE, TEAM SETUP and specify your correct TEAM NAME (NOT your mascot or anything else) and TEAM INITIALS. SET THIS NOW AND DO NOT CHANGE IT otherwise your swimmers will be listed under two different teams.

If you are the host of a meet this season it is your responsibility to send a COMPLETE MEET BACKUP to me within 3 days of the completion of the meet.  In Easy MEET Manager, just click the button on the Main Screen that says BACKUP YOUR MEET, watch where you save the backup and what you call it and email it to   dabineri@fuse.net.  Please be sure to include the POOL LENGTH, and whether the teams were 4A or 3A (or which were which).  DO NOT send exported data please, only the FULL meet backup.  Other meet software can also generate a FULL MEET BACKUP that should be sent also.  Rankings will be posted at  www.goeasyware.com under Swimming Links.

If you are running your meets with software that was not purchased by you and not registered to your team, then we cannot include your team in the rankings this year.  Please be sure you own the software you are using.

Hints for exporting and importing in EasyWare

After your meet you will choose FILE, EXPORT in order to export your team's results as an SD3 file.

In Easy TEAM Manager you will choose FILE, IMPORT, SD3 Meet Results.  If the meet into which you want to import these results already exists, choose that meet.  Otherwise choose CREATE MEET AUTOMATICALLY and Easy Team Manager will both create the meet AND import the results.
